About Us - FRIDULI SHILOH Resort

Welcome to FRIDULI SHILOH Resort – Your Oasis on the Indian Ocean!

Our FRIDULI SHILOH Resort is a charming small apartment complex in Diani Beach, about 30 km south of Mombasa. It consists of three barrier-free houses and a spacious pool.

The pool measures seven by four meters with a water depth of 85 cm and features a seven-meter-long seating bench for relaxation. The swimming area is eight by twelve meters and reaches a depth of 3.60 meters at its deepest point—perfect for training in preparation for ocean dives.

At the far end of the pool, you can relax on water beds, enjoy the shade of a twelve-meter-high palm tree, or soak up the equatorial sun.

Our saltwater pool has a 0.3% salt content, which is gentle on the skin and eyes. We try to avoid or minimize the use of chlorine as much as possible.

We are happy to recommend the diving school "Diving the Crab", which is located on the premises of "The Sands at Nomad".

Would you like to be mobile? We can gladly arrange for one of our trusted taxi or TukTuk drivers, who will also ensure your safe return.

All pathways, rooms, and bathrooms are designed to be barrier-free, and the pool is also accessible via a gently sloping ramp with only a 16% incline. The rooftop gardens can be reached by stairs (not barrier-free) and offer flexible shading options according to your preferences, creating a perfect space to relax and unwind.

The name FRIDULI is a combination of the names of the two directors, Fridah Karimi and Uli Meyer-Berhorn. We are a couple who share a deep passion for hospitality and Christian fellowship.

SHILOH (Genesis 49:10) carries meanings such as "tent of meeting," "peace," "abundance," and "serenity." SHILOH represents a feeling of security, relief, and comfort. We care for you, reflecting our deep commitment to the Christian faith.

Fridah offers Christian (Bible) discussions in Meru, Swahili, English, or German.

Uli is your contact for maritime excursions, whether with a surfboard, SUP, or small sailboat. He also provides route suggestions with customizable safari combinations (by jeep or plane), which are conducted by our partner WT Safaris (WTsafaris.de).

The 2.70-meter-high walls, reinforced with NATO razor wire and a 1.10-meter-high electric fence, along with a direct connection to CREST Security Services, ensure that you can feel completely safe and secure during your stay.

Our apartments are modern and comfortably furnished, ensuring that you feel at home. The barrier-free design allows guests with reduced mobility to enjoy a pleasant and hassle-free stay.

Forgot your adapter to charge your phone? No problem! All accommodations are equipped with German power outlets and USB charging ports.

Medical Care

In case of a medical emergency, the Diani Beach Hospital (dianibeachhospital.com) is just eight minutes away. It is the leading private healthcare facility on Kenya’s south coast.

The hospital is equipped with a modern ambulance, its own laboratory, dental and physiotherapy departments, as well as operating rooms for minor and major surgeries, up to an advanced intensive care unit.

There are 24-hour on-call doctors and inpatient services. Additionally, the area offers various other medical facilities, including private dentists.

Spiritual Renewal

We are happy to offer our guests a spiritual retreat. Fridah, a certified priest, provides Bible courses in English and German. These sessions are a wonderful opportunity to deepen the understanding of the Christian faith, find inner peace, and gain new strength.

The name SHILOH, meaning "Holy Mountain of Moses," highlights our Christian foundation.

Excursions & Leisure Activities

Would you like to explore the underwater world of the coral reef? Bring your own diving mask and snorkel from home. Once here, you can choose how you want to experience the sunrise over the Indian Ocean—whether by canoe, SUP, small sailboat, or surfboard. The sea is very calm in the morning, creating ideal conditions for these activities.
